Ballast Candleholder

The Ballast Candle Holder is designed for multiple candle types using minimal form. The stone rests inside a metal cage providing a low center of gravity. A hole in the stone allows for a taper candle and provides a surface to catch wax.
Alternately, the raised cage can contain a standard 3" pillar candle. The design allows for many material and finish options. Designed and prototyped for the AMDC and Roll & Hill collaborative exhibition, "Curse the Darkness" in 2015.
